Summary - "The Best E- learning environment for individual learning"
The key aims of this VETPRO titled, "The Best E- learning environment for individual learning", are to improve vocational education delivery by teachers of several fields of study and ICT specialists while deepening the skills and abilities of these specialists in their respective spheres, and stimulate constant employee development.
Between 1, January 2011 and 31, December 2011, a total 12 Estonian vocational education specialists (4 basic subject teachers, 4 vocational subject teachers, 1 department head, 3 ICT specialists including educational technologist) will be sent to Spain, Poland and Finland to participate in job shadowing, workshops and ICT (information and communication technologies) trainings run by associated partners for validation of skills.
Estonian education specialists will have opportunity to meet with other vocational educational specialists, experts, network, education system and compare experiences gained in each country. They are challenged in keeping abreast of current information and updating their knowledge and skills pertaining to modern ICT: technologies, tools and individual learning environments.
Expected outcomes are that specialists will receive updating of skills and abilities, assessment of skills and Europass certification.
There will be transference of knowledge to Estonia as specialists share new methods among all individual E- learning (electronic learning) study possibilities while highlighting the national differences.
The project also aims at adding European Value by:
* Providing new channels for easy and direct communication and exchange of views between educators and specialists in vocational schools that host practicing students in Europe;
* Enabling teachers, specialists of ICT sphere to personally visit and engage in practice, allowing updating of skills and abilities while become acquainted with European vocational schools, for subsequent mobility of students to complete practical training abroad;
* Establishing greater cooperation and communication between vocational schools, educational support institutions in view of strengthening and modernizing educational delivery in the field of ICT and individual learning.
